28-30 November 2022 at Kolpinghaus in Munich, Germany.
On a nearly bi-annual basis, the BfS (Federal Office for Radiation Protection) – and varying partners – jointly organized six scientific meetings to discuss the knowns and unknowns and to define a long-term strategic research agenda towards a better understanding of the main causes of childhood leukemia. Results of three workshops were published (Ziegelberger et al. 2011, Laurier et al. 2014, Schmidt et al. 2021).
The focus of the 7th workshop will be on the role of the immune system, including infections, inflammation and bone marrow microenvironment, but also on environmental risk factors and the role of genetics/epigenetics in the development of the disease.
Registration for the workshop is now open via the following website: https://leukemia.bfs-internationalworkshop-muc.de. Deadline 20 November 2022.
